MEIRA and MSX would like to invite you to the year-end MEIRA Chapter meeting to be held on Wednesday the 20th of December 2023 from 13:00 PM to 15:00 PM (Oman time) at MSX Businessman Hall. The event promises to be an engaging and informative session, where you will have the opportunity to learn about your journey ahead.

The agenda includes Paolo Casamassima's introduction as the new MEIRA CEO, and an exciting announcement from the exchange by MEIRA chapter head Syeda Tabinda Bukhari, which will be made during the event. Additionally, we will provide an update on the latest Global IR trends. This will be an excellent opportunity to network with industry peers and gain valuable insights into the world of investor relations.

Syeda is a UK graduate in Business Administration & Management with over 20 years of experience in Oman’s Public and Private sectors as Comms’ Expert.
For the past 15 years she has been serving the Oman’s Capital Market in different roles, from being assistant CEO as a part of MSX’s privatization journey during the markets transition from public to private sector to being the Chief Communications Strategist for Oman’s Regulator CMA’s Executive Office.
During her time at the exchange she has had the opportunity to represent the exchange at many local, regional and international platforms strengthening relations between the exchange, issuer’s and the investors by championing initiatives such as investor education to public awareness programs.
She has been an avid speaker of woman’s role in capital market development, personal finance planning, importance of Retail investor from IR Perspective, investor education and investor – investment life cycle at capital markets.
She has also been a part of the founding member committee of MEIRA Chapter in the Sultanate and currently head the MEIRA Oman IR Chapter from her current role at the Exchange as the Pioneer and team member of Sustainable Investments at MSX working towards enhancing the three-way governance in the Oman Capital Markets industry and she is also a Certified Investor Relations Officer under MEIRA’s ‘CIRO’ certification program awarded by the UK-IR Society.

Paolo is an investor relations and capital markets specialist with 15+ years’ experience in developing industry-leading IR advisory and data services. Paolo looks after the European and MEIRA client’s final delivery reporting requirements. He has advised various companies worldwide on investor relations, shareholder identification, perception studies, targeting and regulatory developments and has been involved in all IR Corporate Advisory aspects including equity and debt ownership research and analysis, disclosure and compliance, proxy solicitation and sales. Prior to OC, Paolo worked at Ipreo, where he headed the International Research and Compliance operations of Corporate Services running ID projects for large cap companies. Paolo speaks Italian and Spanish, holds a BA degree in International Relations and a Master from Cambridge University.
