MEIRA is excited to announce the MEIRA IR Academy Webinar titled "Corporate Communications and Reporting. International Best Practice. Annual Report Design and Narrative Excellence. FTSE 100 and MENA Region award winning case studies." in partnership with Emperor

This webinar explores the reporting practices of the UK's largest and most admired companies, particularly those in the FTSE 100, renowned for their award-winning annual reports. While these reports are celebrated for their design and narrative excellence, the specific qualities that make them stand out are rarely documented in detail. This session aims to uncover these qualities and provide actionable insights for participants, with a focus on design, content, and structure.

We have taken a structured approach to identify and analyse the success factors behind award-winning UK annual reports, translating them into practical recommendations for Middle Eastern companies.

This is structured by:

  • Defining Award-Winning Reports

To pinpoint the elements of excellence, we selected 17 companies for in-depth analysisโ€”12 from the FTSE 100 and 4 from the FTSE 250. These companies were chosen based on their recognition by eight leading awarding bodies in 2024, which collectively granted 54 awards for excellence in printed and online reports. From this pool, we curated a list of 17 companies that received 29 awards, reflecting the best in design, content, and structure.

  • Presenting key findings

The 17 reports, across a diverse range of industries, report types, and formats, have been analysed in depth. This approach provided a view of best practices, including traditional annual reports, integrated reports, and online reports. Findings will be presented as case studies, highlighting what makes each unique reporter an award winner, providing a range of insights and inspirations for participants. Specific will be shown on screen and discussed.

  • Key takeaway for Middle Eastern Reporters

We will share several clear themes that Middle Eastern companies can adopt to enhance their corporate reporting practices
