Amani Korayeim Director, II Research-Europe and EMEA of Institutional Investor Amani Korayeim is the Director, II Research Europe & EMEA. She oversees key client relationships, strategic partnerships and the launch of new research products as well as the expansion into new markets. She works closely with IR and executive management teams, running capability assessment workshops to help inform and drive IR outreach strategies. Before joining lnstitutional lnvestor, Amani worked in the business information sector providing research based advisory services to professional services companies on global mandates. She has spent the last 11 years in the IR space and speaks regularly at IR events focused on global trends in IR, outreach optimisation and the impact of new regulations. Amani obtained the Certificate of Investor Relations (CIR) from the UKIRS and is currently studying for the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing

Rayan Al-Karawi Chairman at MEIRA KSA Chapter Rayan Al-Karawi is a founder and Chairman of the Saudi Chapter the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA KSA) as well as a member of the main MEIRA Board. A multi-award-winning investor relations professional, with over 26 years of experience in IR and finance, that experience spans from IPOs to sukuks and restructuring in industries including retail, telecommunications, Banking and real estate. Having led the Investor Relations function at real estate player Dar Al Arkan, telecommunications operator Zain KSA, and most recently FAS holding (Arabian Centers & Fawaz Alhokair Fashion retail). Currently, advising varies companies on IR, and servicing on multiple corporate boards include Chairman of Razeen Capital, a founding member and chairman of the Saudi chapter of the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA) in addition to being a main MEIRA board member, as well a council member of the Saudi Swiss Business Council at the Saudi Chambers of Industry and Commerce. He is also a member of the board of Falak Consulting, a values-based, purpose-driven strategy and innovation consultancy that helps build stronger economies.

Sofia El Boury Head of Investor Relations at First Abu Dhabi Bank Sofia is the Head of Investor Relations of First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), the largest bank in the UAE by total assets and market capitalization. In her current role, she oversees all investor-related activities and is responsible for developing and implementing an effective IR program designed to ensure accurate understanding of the company’s story and strategy, and to enhance investor confidence in its value proposition. Previously, she was Head of Investor Relations at First Gulf Bank (FGB), a role she has occupied since 2013. Before moving to Investor Relations, Sofia was a sell-side equity research analyst for more than 7 years, and was heading the Banks & Financials coverage team at Dubai-based SHUAA Capital. Sofia holds postgraduate degrees in financial management and control from Paris Dauphine University, and in international management from the American University in Washington, DC. She has been an active Board Member at MEIRA since 2014.
John Gollifer General Manager at MEIRA
John Gollifer General Manager at MEIRA John Gollifer is the General Manager of the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA). He was the General Manager and an executive director of the Board of the UK’s Investor Relations Society from 2012 to 2018. Prior to this, John spent 11 years at the Singapore Exchange where he was Senior Vice President and responsible for investor relations, among other roles in corporate strategy and communications. He established and ran the IR Professionals Association of Singapore from 2006-2008, is a multiple IR award winner and he created and taught an IR course at the Singapore Management University from 2009 to 2012. Since 2016, John has lectured at the University of Liverpool in London on the Masters in Strategic Communications, IR module. John was trained as a banker and spent 15 years in Asia and Europe in corporate finance and equity capital markets. Since joining the IR Society, which works in partnership with other IR associations, John has led IR training, including for the International Certificate in IR (ICIR), in Chile, Indonesia, Japan, Nigeria, Singapore, Thailand and Turkey, as well as in the Middle East and UK. In 2018, John was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the IR Society in recognition of his services to IR.
